Thabi Art offers Art Workshops in Cape Town
From its art studio in Richwood, Northern Suburbs or at the clients' venue by special arrangement
We accept workshop participants from age 5 and above. Kids' Painting Workshops and Adults' Painting Workshops are conducted in an Art Studio in Richwood, Cape Town from 13:00-15:00 every Saturday.
The fee includes all the art materials and participants can take home their finished artwork.
By special arrangement, we can also conduct a Painting Workshop for five participants at a time at the clients' venue anywhere in the Monte Vista and Edgemead and surrounding areas in the Northern Suburbs in Cape Town.
We conduct specifically the Mosaic Mirror workshop. After learning the craft however, participants, can then manage to create mosaic numbers, mosaic serving trays and pottery and even mosaic tables on their own.
We also supply a Mosaic Mirror kit which a participant can use to create a mosaic project at home. Please refer to our contact page for pricing.
We conduct Ostrich Egg Decoupage in our art studio in Richwood, Cape Town. The technique is so easy that after attending the workshop, the participant can, on his own, apply the same technique in decorating plates, glasses, serving trays, vases, sea shells and any other object he wants to decorate.
The Artist - Alda Bikindou
The various Art Workshops are conducted by Alda Bikindou, a prolific Congolese artist who settled in Cape Town in 2000.
Together with her husband, Sylvain (Bikis), Alda sells her paintings in an art shop at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town CBD.
Both Alda and Bikis are among the many artists who successfully managed to live off the income generated from the sale of their paintings. Their patrons are both local and foreign tourists in Cape Town.
Bikis paints and mans the shop in Cape Town while Alda paints, raises five children and conducts art workshops on Saturday afternoons.
